Ultrasound diagnostics
Ultrasound of the heart (EchoCG) is an ultrasound examination of the heart on a SmartScan ultrasound scanner anywhere near the patient.

Non-invasive, that is, non-damaging to tissues and organs, the technique allows you to identify a wide range of changes in the work of the heart, which do not manifest themselves in the form of painful sensations and are not detected during an ECG.

The main purpose of ultrasound diagnostics is to evaluate the work of the heart, during the procedure determine the volume, size of the cavities of the organ, the thickness of its walls, identify structural changes in valves and other parts of the heart.

With the help of ultrasound of the heart, it is possible:
  • get information about the size of the heart, the volume of its cavities;
  • to determine the condition of the membranes of the organ (pericardium);
  • record information about the thickness of the walls of the heart;
  • detect scarring changes in the myocardium;
  • analyze the operation and condition of valves, etc.
EchoCG will help to identify a complex of heart diseases and pathological conditions, including:
  • ischemic disease;
  • myocardial pericarditis, that is, an inflammatory process;
  • aneurysms of any degree;
  • hypertrophy and dilation of cardiac chambers;
  • the presence of intracardiac blood clots, heart tumors, etc.
The ECHO-KG technique allows you to quickly understand the cause of shortness of breath, fatigue, swelling of the lower extremities, increased blood pressure, heart failure, fainting.
The examination is used not only in the diagnosis of functional disorders of the organ.

It is also indispensable in preventive cardiology and is recommended before the desire to engage in amateur and professional sports.
